Resurrection Power

Happy Easter!!! Today is about the Resurrection of Christ Jesus. It's about the greatest news ever delivered to humanity. Jesus is alive, he lives!!! Thank God that Jesus is alive. On Good Friday, He was made to carry a cross a very long distance, he was spit on, mocked, pushed, hit, and publicly humiliated. Not once did He give up or give in. At any time He could have delivered himself from the brutality and wickedness that was being dealt to Him by the very people that He came to save. Instead, he did God's will and in His death, he went down to Hell and took the keys of Hell and the keys of death away from the devil. He preached the truth to the ones there and whoever believed, He brought them out of Hell. While Jesus was there, the devil thought he had Him, the devil called out, "close the gates". Jesus said, "open ye the gates, the King of glory is coming through".

On the third day, Mary Magdalen and Mary, His mother, came to the tomb where He had been laid. They had come to anoint His body. As they arrived, an angel of the Lord appeared to them saying, "He is not here. He has risen as he said".

There are folks today that think that miracles are for days of old. Some people think that speaking in tongues, laying hands on the sick, and casting out devils were for the Apostles that followed Jesus. Jesus tells us that after the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we will receive power. He said, "in my name you shall cast out devils, in my name you shall tread upon serpents, in my name you shall lays hands on the sick and they shall recover. We, as believers, being filled with the Holy Spirit have been given power. We have this power because we have Jesus living on the inside of us. The Holy Spirit can only come on Jesus, since we have Jesus living on the inside of us, we are candidates for the Holy Spirit. We have power. The same power that brought Jesus out of the grave dwells in us. How many times have you put that power to work since you received the Holy Spirit? Miracles haven't stopped, gotten old or expired. Jesus was the same yesterday, today, and He will be the same forever. Every time someone is saved, that power is being exercised. Every time someone is freed from the chainsnof bondage of addiction, alcoholism, fornication, a miracle is taking place. They are like a new baby being born. They are being re-created and washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the living God. God is the "I am", He is the Lord that healeth thee. Praise God for Resurrection power. Because of His power and grace, once we are saved, our sins are no longer remembered against us.

Today, I put that Resurrection power to work. If you have read my previous posts, you know that my dad has been down and out for a couple of months now. He has been in the hospital since the beginning of February. The doctors have found problem after problem. They are now saying that he has so many things against him that he has a slim chance of making it. I don't accept that diagnosis. They don't know my Jesus. Today, my fiance and I prayed with him and asked God to send down His Resurrection power and heal and renew my dad's body. We joined our faith for a miracle. When my dad rises up out of that hospital bed, walking and praising God for the healing, I'll be sure to report it here so that you will also know that miracles still exist and that Jesus is still in the business of healing people. Thank you for your prayers. I pray that God will bless you. If you need healing, remind God that he placed Jesus at His right hand and anything we ask in His name shall be given to us. God is truth, let every man be a liar but let God's word be true.
