Second Chances

We all make mistakes in life. We have all done things that we wish we could take back. Some of us may have been drug abusers, alcoholics, involved in prostitution, career criminals, etc. The list goes on of all the sins that we may have committed. The general public looks at us as "bad people". They think that we are who we are and we could change but don't want to. We have all had our reasons or could tell our stories about what caused us to get in that type of situation. People who have never been there tend not to understand. There are several reasons that people turn to drugs and alcohol and things of this nature. Society sometimes gives up on us. God never does. God never leaves us or forsakes, we are the ones that give up on God. Although people may give up on us, God doesn't. He is there waiting in the wings to make a way where there is no way. We are the ones that get ourselves into these situations and we think that man can get us out. We think there is some miracle cure we can access or drug we can take that will change our lives in an instant. Although the cure doesn't exist or doesn't work, God is still there. He's there waiting for us to call on Him. Unfortunately, we sometimes have to hit lower than "rock bottom" in order to come to the decision to call upon the name of the Lord. God is the cure. He is our hope. He is a miracle worker. He can change our lives radically and take away the addiction or the bondage that we have allowed ourselves to be tied up in chains with. He is there waiting to make a way where there is no way. He wants us to get to a point in our lives, in our dilemmas that cause us to call on Him. This way, when He delivers us out of the situation, we will know that it was Him and we will want to give Him all the praise and all the glory because what man can't do, God will do. He is a miracle worker. God is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same forever. The best part of it all, once we turn to God and accept Jesus, the Bible tells us that our sins are no longer remembered against us.

Don't be sad or discouraged, with God, we all have a second chance!
