Finding God's Wisdom in an UnGodly World

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Col 2: 2&3
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Roman 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Him be the glory forever!

Jeremiah 10:12
But God made the earth by His power, He founded the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.

What is this wisdom that we all want to have? Wisdom is the judicious study and application of knowledge. It is a deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgments and actions in keeping with this understanding. It often requires control of one's emotional reactions (the "passions") so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one's actions. Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true coupled with optimum judgment as to action. Synonyms include: sagacity, discernment, or insight.(

If wisdom is the study and application of knowledge, then why aren't we studying God's word and applying it? We search for answers in a world that is lost. It's the blind leading the blind. If we are looking for knowledge of good, how can we find it in an evil and dark world? What are we chasing by achieving worldly knowledge? Are we not like puppies chasing our tails? The wisdom we find in the world just takes around and around. We are lost at sea with the wind blowing us from east to west and never having our feet touch solid ground. If you feel like this is you, let me explain how to plant your foot on the shore and lay a solid foundation. Start searching God's word. Seek Him with all your strength and all your might and He will put you on solid ground and He will teach you how to lay the ground work for being able to withstand life's turbulence. Even the definition of wisdom itself tells us to search the world, the universe, being able to understand and accept worldly ideas and worldly principles. If the world is so smart and so wise, why is the world in the shape it is in and growing worse? The answer is because the world has gotten into the church and the church has gotten into the world. You might ask , what do you mean? People, preachers, teachers, deacons have become so obsessed and so set on earthly wisdom and seeking favor of men that they have forgotten what God's word teaches us. We are so afraid to offend someone that we don't say certain things or preachers don't preach on certain topics because it may hurt someone's feelings. Then they wonder why they can't get people to come to church. If they separate themselves from the world and preach God's commands and preach what Jesus tells us we should be doing, the people will come. We need to stop seeking men's favor and seek the favor of God. Preachers, we need to pray and ask God what the message should be and stop giving our diluted, tread-softly versions of the Gospel. Jesus said, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." The Bible tells us that when we honor God and apply His commands to our lives, we will heap coals of fire on peoples' heads because they aren't living right in the sight of God. They feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit upon them when we are around them and we are lifting up the name of Jesus, and doing the work of our Heavenly Father. We just want people to feel comfortable and at ease. I'm not ashamed of what God has given me and I will let my light shine in the sight of all men, they aren't afraid to do the devil's acts in front of you, don't be ashamed to do God's work in from of them. Let the world know that you are a child of God.

The definition tells us to control our emotional reactions (the "passions") so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine our actions. I'm telling you that when you set your mind to seek the wisdom and knowledge of God, His principles, reason and knowledge will prevail to determine your actions. Remember when Mary and Joseph lost Jesus? When they found Him, He was in the synagogue answering questions. They asked Him, "what are you doing?' Jesus said, "I've got to be about my Father's business." I'm telling you that when you seek God's wisdom and apply His principles, you are going to be about his business, you're going to talk Jesus, walk Jesus, everything you do is going to be Jesus. Cast out devils, Jesus; lay your hands on the sick, Jesus, bring deliverance to the people, Jesus. Your actions that will come from applying His wisdom and you will win souls over to God, for His honor and His glory.

God told us, "Come out from the world and be separate, touch not the unclean thing and I will be your God and you shall be my people." He also said that when we do, all of these blessings would come upon us. He said, "I'll bless you going in and I'll bless you coming out; I'll bless you in the city and I'll bless you in the country, everything you set your hand to will be blessed; I'll make you the head and not the tail; You shall lend and not borrow." So take your mind and your search for knowledge and wisdom off of the world, instead, put your strength into searching for God's knowledge and wisdom, once you do, you will discover an abundance of peace, joy, truth, and many more blessings!!!!
