How to avoid life's confusion

Proverbs 2:1-6
My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

The definition of confusion is a lack of understanding; uncertainty; a situation of panic; a breakdown of order.

How many times have we been caught up in life's confusion?  We flounder around, blowing in many directions like a feather in the wind.  We can't seem to find our place or get on the right track.  We put all of our time and effort into finding our way, yet, we still seem to be lost, dazed and confused.  We don't understand how we got where we are or how to get where we are going.  We feel uncertain about life in general and especially about what tomorrow will bring.  These feelings tend to bring panic and feelings of anxiety.  Our circumstances and our confusion ultimately brings a breakdown or a lack of order in our lives. Where do I turn?  What do I do?  I have been to seminars, I have talked with counselors, I have consulted family members, I have used every option and exhausted every avenue.  I don't know what else to do.  Sound familiar?  So, what is the answer then?  God is the answer.  We waste time putting our faith and trust in flesh, in people that at some point will let us down.  God never fails us.  If we want to avoid life's confusion, we must seek God.  We must ask for guidance, for His wisdom, for His strength, and for His patience.  God is the superior counselor, He is the chief executive of our lives.  He knows what is best.  He knows us better than we know ourselves.  If we keep His commands and search diligently for His wisdom and apply our hearts to the understanding of His word, we will always come out on top.  You will learn how to stop thinking with your worldly mind and your worldly ideas, you will start thinking with your spiritual mind and God will set your feet on a straight path.  The things you stress about now, you will no longer stress about anymore because you will know that God is in control; He is leading and guiding you; He is your rock; He is your foundation and He cannot and will not lead you the wrong way.  God cannot lie, no evil abides in Him and He will never change.  He is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same forever.  "The Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding".  Rely not on your own knowledge and your own understanding, instead, put your faith and trust in God and the confusion will cease and you will know without a shadow of a doubt that you are going in the right direction.

I pray that God will give you the understanding and knowledge to trust Him and to get your life on the right path.  I pray that He will bring joy and peace to your life.  I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.  God bless you all!!
