Showered with Blessings

Ezekiel 34:26
I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

Psalms 2:12
Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

Deuteronomy 28:1-8&10
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock- the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land He is giving you. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.

Isn't it great to know that if you are a child of God, you are blessed? We are so blessed to serve a God that will show us favor when we obey His commands and keep His decrees. He is great and merciful enough to acknowledge that we trust in Him and rewards us for doing so. Who are we that we deserve such favor from the King of Kings? If you are a child of God, know that you are royalty. You belong to a great and everlasting kingdom. Thank you Jesus that we are blessed!

I've heard a lot of stories in my life about people that have testified to the goodness of God. Although I found the stories to be intriguing, I couldn't help but to doubt them a little. I believed that God was almighty and that He had power to do anything, but I thought that these people's stories were maybe just a little too fanatical. I'm happy to say that I quit feeling and thinking that way some time ago, if there was still any doubt, I lost it all today.

I woke up this morning having vehicle issues. Since it is was only a couple of days before payday, I knew that I didn't have the money to get me through. I was not sure what I was going to do. I called a friend last night to see if they could help me out a little just so I could get to work for the next couple of days. My friend told me to meet him in town and he would lend me a few dollars to help me out until I got paid. I was very grateful and thanked him for his help. When I met him this morning, I got out and went up to his vehicle, I noticed that he was holding a $100 bill. I thought to myself, "I don't need to borrow this much, I don't want to owe him anymore than I need to". About that time, he unrolled the money and handed me two $100 bills and said, "Consider this a wedding gift". I almost broke down in tears right then and there. I immediately thanked God for His help and His blessing and I thanked my friend as well. I praised God for the blessing all the way to work. He knows exactly when to come through!

God gives us blessings, like the one I received this morning, all the time. It may not always be in the form of money and sometimes we do not realize it is a blessing until later on. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. God also allows us to struggle a little bit. The reason He does that is so we can learn how to trust and rely on Him. If He always rescued us before things got hard, we wouldn't recognize that it is God at work. He waits until there is no other option, until there is no other way to turn, then He comes shining through the mud and muck with a shower of blessings to get us what we need. Now that you have been blessed when there seemed to be no way out, you know that God has done the work. That is what He wants us to see, that He is at work, not man, and He sends us the blessing in this way so that He gets all the glory. When you go through a tough time, hang on, stand on your faith because God is about to come shining through and He is going to shower you with blessings. He will bless you with so much, you will have to start giving some of the blessings away, now He is blessing others through you. Do you see how it works? The trick to it is, you can't indulge in these blessings until you obey His word and then learn how to trust Him. It isn't always easy. Sometimes when you're trusting God and standing on your faith, people will think you're crazy, your elevator doesn't go all the way up, you're 10 cents short of a dollar. You have to learn to trust Him and His word, live or die, sink or swim because if he said it, He will do it! God cannot lie, He cannot change. His promises are set in stone. Let me add this in there, once you have tasted the new wine of God, don't turn back to sin and unfaithfulness. If you do, you will be worse off than you were before you gave your life to Him.

If God has sent a blessing in your life, praise Him for it. If you were sick, on the brink of death and He has healed you and made you whole, run to the church and start serving Him. Do not sit back and ignore Him now that you are on the road to recovery or something worse will come on you. He brought you to that position so that you would have no choice but to call on Him. He brought you back from near-death in the nick of time so that you would have to give Him all the praise and all the glory. If you haven't experienced Jesus and all his blessings, then I urge you to give your life to Him today. Pray the prayer of Faith and Confession. It's right here on this site. You can be saved and set free today! You can have your name on every church book in America and still split Hell wide open, you must be born again! You must accept Jesus into your heart, make Him lord of your life and surrender all to Him. Please come in today and start receiving your shower of blessings. We love you and are here for you, just an email away. God bless you all!!
