How to be Blessed

Malachi 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. "Test me in this", says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

blessing- the act of invoking or declaring God's goodness and favor upon others. This also includes God blessing his people by giving life and forgiving our sins.
tithe- one-tenth of a person's income presented as an offering to God. The word tithe is derived from the Hebrew word, "aser" meaning ten. The "ma'aser," or tithe, thus means the tenth part. (

We have an obligation to give God back 1/10 of what is his. Our income is really God's money anyway. We are simply managing the piece that he has given us dominion over. He tells us not only to give back what is rightly his, but he also guarantees that he will bless us with mor…

God's Plan

Ephesians 1:3-10:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put in to effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

What are the spiritual blessings that Christ has blessed us with? There is faith, hope, love…

Relentless Faith

Mark 5:24-34:
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?" "You see the people crowding against you," his disciples answered, "and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?'" But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her,…

Branching Out

John 15:5-8:
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Is God in Us?

1John 4:13-15
We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.
testify- to bear witness; give or afford evidence
Savior- a title for Christ which emphasizes his work of salvation
Brief History
Date Written- around AD 80 - AD 90
Writer- the writer is not clearly identified but scholars believe it was written by John the brother of James; the same John that wrote the Gospel of John. The writing styles and verbiage are very similar
Main Point of Book- discernment through the Holy Spirit

In order to answer the question "Is God in Us?", we have to answer three other questions:
Is Jesus the Son of God and the Savior of the world?Have we qualified ourselves to receive the Holy Spirit?Does the Holy Spirit live and act in us/our lives? The disciples were witnesses to Je…

Why Should I Serve?

1Samuel 12:24:
But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

We should never lose our desire to serve the LORD; or to be of use to him. All of our efforts should be directed to bringing honor and glory to God! The purpose of our existence is to glorify God Almighty by performing the works of Jesus Christ. By doing so, we are gathering the s…

Blessing? Approved!!

Romans 14:22
Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.

blessed- having God's favor and goodness
condemn- to be considered guilty of sin
approve- to pronounce or consider agreeable or good

God' favor rests upon people that do not consider themselves guilty of sin by what they declare to be good. As sons of God, we know the difference between good and evil by the discernment of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not guide or lead us to partake in things that are not good. It is the directing of the Holy Spirit in our lives that keeps us free from condemnation. In other words, when we are walking in the Spirit, we are able to live guiltless, being alive in and uplifted by Christ. God bless you! Amen!
If you do not know Jesus Christ and want to be free from living with guilt, click on the Salvation tab today!! Jesus is waiting!

Why love?

Brief History about Paul's Letter to the Romans
Paul wrote this letter in approximately AD 57. Paul is writing this letter to explain to the newly converted Christians in Rome what the basics of Christianity is all about. The message is basically letting them know that all have sinned but there is forgiveness through Jesus Christ. He gives them some instructions on how to be a Christian. If it would have been written in modern times, it would probably be titled, "How to be a Christian for …

Fruits of Suffering-2

Joshua 1:7-8
Be strong and very courageous, Be careful to obey all the law that my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Yesterday we talked a lot about suffering and the fruit of suffering. Why do we need to suffer? For one, we relate to Jesus Christ on a more personal level when we are suffering. We do this in 2 ways: Jesus suffered, so when we suffer for him, we are experiencing what Jesus experienced as he said we would. Suffering brings us in communion with God. Let's face it, most of us aren't as close to God when everything is going well. It's when we are down and out that we really learn to trust Him and to lean on Him the way he wants us to. Suffering also brings about success. How? Because we learn w…

Fruits of Suffering

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

grace- God's unmerited favor and love which leads him to grant salvation to believers through the exercise of their faith in Jesus Christ. perseverance- persistence, or the ability to endure through difficult circumstances.

edification- the process by which believers grow in holiness, wisdom, and righteousness.

How God uses Foolishness

1Corinthians 1:18:
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1Corinthians 1:25:
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
1Corinthians 1:27:
But God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to confound the strong.
1Corinthians 2:14:
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1Corinthians 3:19:
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness."
1Corinthians  4:10:
We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, but we are despised.

Foolish- actions which show a lack of wisdom or…

What does God say about Israel?

Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Ezekiel 39:23
And the nations will know that the people of Israel went in exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.
Mark 12:29-30
"The most important one" (commandment), answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.' Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all y…

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:16-20:
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Sinner's Prayer of Confession/Faith Prayer

Father I come to you today as a sinner. I confess my sins and I ask for forgiveness of my sins. I ask that you will come into my heart, be Lord of my life, walk in me, talk me, be my God and I will be your child. Save me by your mercy and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, you have asked the Lord, Jesus Christ to come into your life. This means that you must accept him as the Son of God and as your Savior. The only way to heaven is through Jesus. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

I encourage you to pray, read the Bible and find a church that you feel God's Spirit in. Having a church life will help you in your walk with God.

If you prayed this prayer and accepted Jesus, please email us and let us know. Thank you.
God bless you!!!

Leading Trust

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall directyour paths.

Are you a leader of people? There are many levels of leadership. You may be the CEO of a company or be the head teller at a bank. Leadership at any level is very important. You are charged with giving instructions to others in order to carry out a work or assignment. This is very serious business. If you are a good leader, then you are doing far more than just giving people simple instructions and assigning them tasks to complete.

Leaders play various roles in the lives of the people they lead. They are their subordinates' counselor, financial advisor, their confidant, the disciplinarian, teacher, instructor, and a lot more. As leaders, we have a big affect on the lives of the people we are leading. Good leaders are trusted by their subordinates and they listen, respect, and carry out what the leader says. Are you leading your p…

The Lord Giveth and The Lord Taketh Away

Jude 1:5-7:
Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

God has given us an opportunity to except eternal life. By grace, He has made this available to us. It is up to us to accept the gift by faith through believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died so that we may have life. It is up to us to accept this gift. We cannot be forced to accept such great salvation but what we must remember is that we also cannot escape if we neglect it. There is no grey area. You can't …

Hope- a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Romans 8:24
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?

What is hope? What do you hope for? We hope that things will go well. We hope that we will have good lives. There are several things that we hope for on earth. We hope we will make it through another year. We hope that we will be happy. We hope our children will do well and be successful people. We hope that we will find love. In the carnal world, in a life without Jesus Christ, hope is a crap shoot. It's a gamble, a wish that things, like what I have listed above, might come true. It is mere luck that we out our faith and "hopes" in.

In the walk with Christ, hope is a whole different matter. It's not a gamble. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, knowing that the promises of God can and will be fulfilled. It's knowing that we have hope in an eternal God that is the same today as He wa…

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country", John F. Kennedy

1 Timothy 2:1-15
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

As a country we need to take action against what is going on. As Christians, we are commanded to take action. There are many things that we can do to combat the devilish acts that are taking place in the United States. One important thing that we all need to do is pray for our leaders. Whether or not you agree with them, they have been chosen to make decisions that affect each of us on a daily basis. They may not all even be Christians themselves but they need our prayers. In fact, the ones that are not lea…
