Fruits of Suffering

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

justified- God declaring and making a person just or right with him.
grace- God's unmerited favor and love which leads him to grant salvation to believers through the exercise of their faith in Jesus Christ.
perseverance- persistence, or the ability to endure through difficult circumstances.
character- the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
edification- the process by which believers grow in holiness, wisdom, and righteousness.
hope- a sure and steady faith in God's promises.
Holy Spirit- 3rd person of the trinity. A helper, comforter, advocate. Reveals Godly wisdom to believers.

We have been made right with God. We no longer live in fear of judgment from God, instead, we look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We can live joyfully knowing that we have been granted salvation from God. Our salvation, that comes from exercising our faith in Jesus, is the platform on which we stand. We rejoice in knowing that we are being sanctified daily and that our sanctification will result in glorification when God establishes his permanent Kingdom and we dwell in his presence forever. By knowing and believing this, we are also able to rejoice in our sufferings because we know that it is for our edification and God's glorification. Going through trials and tribulation is what builds character mentally, physically, and spiritually. Tough times produce wisdom and build strength. You know the old saying, "what doesn't kill us will make us stronger." Struggles and experience produce seasoned veterans that avoid making the same mistakes again and again. Consider hard times and sufferings as building your spiritual resume. We are able to withstand these things and embrace them because we know God loves us and wants what is best for us. We know that we are being prepared for greater works! God reveals this to us through the works of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and in our lives.

Are you suffering in vain? If you do not know Christ and have a personal relationship with him, then there is no hope in suffering. You will continue to face the same struggles again and again because you are not being led by God's Spirit. The product of this world is pain, suffering, and death. None of which provide hope for tomorrow. If you want to taste the fruit of suffering instead of the pain of suffering, then please, invite Jesus Christ into your life today. I guarantee that your life will be changed forever. No one else can make that guarantee except God through your acceptance and faith in Jesus. Click on the Salvation tab and open the door to life. God bless you and we love you!!
