God's Plan

Ephesians 1:3-10:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put in to effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

Summary
What are the spiritual blessings that Christ has blessed us with? There is faith, hope, love, peace with God, union and communion with God, just to name a few. Because of Christ, we now have access to every good thing that God has for us. This has been God's plan since eternity past, before the foundations of the earth were laid. Everything that took place from the beginning until Jesus was born was all part of God's perfect plan to bring Jesus on the scene and offer salvation through him to his people. We were called into God's family, to be his sons, men and women alike, before one speck of sand was placed, or one drop of water was released on earth. God's plan to extend his grace to us through Jesus is one purpose- to bring The God of the universe, El Elyon, praise and glory. Jesus bought our freedom from sin with the shedding of his blood, the perfect sacrifice for all sin, the Lamb of God without spot nor blemish.

During Jesus' time on earth, he was demonstrating God's power, love, and grace. He brought wisdom and taught love through humility and acts of service. He was the King Servant! Jesus is still doing the same things today that he did back then. He is the living Christ!

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us. The Holy Spirit reveals truth to us and gives us wisdom. He brings out of the bottom of our hearts the teachings that Jesus gave to us when the need arises. This wisdom he gives is not of the world but of God. Through the wisdom the Holy Spirit gives and the truths that he reveals, the mystery of God's will is unlocked for us. We start being able to see what is pleasing to God as we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives.

At the fulfillment of God's plan, all of God's children will reign with him in his glory. Jesus will be recognized by all of creation as the Son of God. Philippians 2:10-11 says, "that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father." Then we will live in paradise forever and ever! Amen.

Jesus is everything. Without him we are nothing! If you want to live the life that God intended for his people, then put Jesus before everything and trust in him and lean on him at all times at all costs. May the God of peace be with you! We love you! God bless you!
