Hope- a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Romans 8:24
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?

What is hope? What do you hope for? We hope that things will go well. We hope that we will have good lives. There are several things that we hope for on earth. We hope we will make it through another year. We hope that we will be happy. We hope our children will do well and be successful people. We hope that we will find love. In the carnal world, in a life without Jesus Christ, hope is a crap shoot. It's a gamble, a wish that things, like what I have listed above, might come true. It is mere luck that we out our faith and "hopes" in.

In the walk with Christ, hope is a whole different matter. It's not a gamble. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, knowing that the promises of God can and will be fulfilled. It's knowing that we have hope in an eternal God that is the same today as He was yesterday and will be the same forever. What He did yesterday, He is still able to do today. We have hope in a loving God that is in control, that knows what is best and that will work any situation, any trial, any tribulation in our favor, for our own good. Our hope is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, that He paid it all when He stretched out His arms on calvary and bore the sins of the world. Our hope is in Jesus that came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Our hope is in a Living God, not a man that is dead, not a symbol, not an animal, not a statue, but in a God that is still on the thrown today, that is still healing the sick, still opening blind eyes, still unstopping deaf ears, and still raising the dead. The greatest news I ever heard is He's alive, He lives!!!

Paul said it best in Romans 9, verse 25, "but if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." We put our hope in Christ and we patiently wait for the promise to come into action. We know that if He spoke it, He will bring it to pass. Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount as wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. God cannot lie and He cannot change. Our hope is knowing that what He has said, He will do.

If you have no hope for a brighter future, then I present Jesus Christ to you. I guarantee that He will restore hope where there is no hope and He will make a way where there is no way. All you have to do is confess your sin and ask Him into your heart today and there will be hope for a brighter tomorrow!! God bless you!!! We love you!!!
