The Lord Giveth and The Lord Taketh Away

Jude 1:5-7:
Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

God has given us an opportunity to except eternal life. By grace, He has made this available to us. It is up to us to accept the gift by faith through believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died so that we may have life. It is up to us to accept this gift. We cannot be forced to accept such great salvation but what we must remember is that we also cannot escape if we neglect it. There is no grey area. You can't have one foot in and one foot out. Either you believe and accept or you neglect and reject. The Lord is just in His ways. His actions are righteous. He is a sovereign and powerful God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He gives us access to all of His promises and all of His provisions if we believe in Jesus and obey His commands and His precepts. It is the will of God that everyone of us be saved!

As I said, God is fair and just. Just as well as He provides for those that obey, He rebukes and punishes those that neglect. Those that have chosen the world and refused God will be cut off and damned to eternal fire! If angels, that were created before the world, have fallen into darkness, rejected God and will receive just punishment, who are we, mere humans, that we shall escape the fires of hell if we reject God? He rewards belief and punishes unbelief. He blesses the righteous and He cuts down the unrighteous. God is available to you; you either accept Him or you reject Him. I know there are many that have come to a cross rods with God, they have come to a decision and they are afraid to give up life as they know it. People are afraid of rejection. I submit to you that rejection of the human race for the sake of Jesus is a blessing, not a curse. I'd rather be rejected by man in this world than to be rejected by God on the day of judgment.

The Bible says that wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many there be that find it. Narrow is the gate and straight is the way and few there be that find it. We all think that we have plenty of time. We have the attitude that we will eventually come to the Lord but not right now. We think that we are going to have a little fun first then we will give our lives to the Lord once we are a little older and can't really do the "fun" things anymore. We are fooled by the devil to believe that we have plenty of time. There are still several events that the Bible says must take place before Jesus returns and the world ends. Dear friend, we are not guaranteed the next breath. Tonight could be your end times event. This may be the last chance that you will ever have to accept Jesus and the gift of eternal life. I beg you, don't let the partying, the drinking, drugs, sex, adultery, your friends send you to hell.

The Lord gives eternal life to the believer, He destroys those that do not believe. This is the order of a righteous and just God. We are weighed down by our sin and until you accept Jesus, who died, bore the sins of the world (past, present and future), and then was resurrected and sent to the right hand of God the Father, you cannot understand the doctrine. Do not try to rationalize this. Take a step of faith and accept Jesus. What is the risk? If you do not believe but decide to give Jesus a try and it turns out to not be what the Bible says it is, what have you lost? If you do not believe and you choose not to accept Jesus and what the Bible says is true, it will be too late!! How much do you love yourself that you are willing to take this gamble with your own life? Choose Jesus, deny yourself, the Lord will take away your present life and give you a life of abundance, blessing and eternal existence with Him in His kingdom. Move out of the world and move into paradise. I impart blessing upon blessing into your life when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. God bless you!!!
