Singing Praise

Ephesians 5:19-20:
speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

hymn- a song of praise and thanksgiving to God
psalm- a sacred song or hymn
music- an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color

When we talk to each other we need to be uplifting. We should be giving each other encouragement as the body of Christ. There is plenty of negativity that we face outside of the church. The goal for God's people, for one another, should be to lift each other's spirits.

We should be constantly singing God's praises. If you do not feel like you should be doing this, then you are not getting the full experience of God. When you experience God and his Holy Spirit, you can not help but to be constantly singing his praises and giving him thanks. If you think you don't sing good, so what? It sounds beautiful to God! When you are driving down the road, sing to God. When you are cleaning the house, sing praises to God. Songs and singing stir up the emotions. There is nothing better than a good ole spiritual song to stir up the Holy Spirit inside of us.

We have to give God praise and thanks through Jesus Christ. Everything we do relating to God is done in Jesus' name, trusting him as our mediator with God the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." The only way to God, his grace, and his salvation is through his Son, Jesus Christ. If you do not have a trusting relationship with Jesus, or if you have no relationship with him at all, please click on the Salvation tab today. God bless you! We love you!
