Afraid of Rejection

1Peter 2:7
"the stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone."

1Peter 2:4
As you come to Him, the living Stone- rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.

Do you fear rejection? I think we all do. We are afraid of being denied by the ones we love. In fact, we spend a large part of our time trying to gain acceptance and favor by friends, family and co-workers. We ponder what we can do or how we can do it better so that we can be liked and accepted. This fear of rejection prevents a lot of people from finding salvation and obeying God because they are afraid that they will no longer be accepted. If we let people know that we are God-fearing individuals, we will no longer belong to the "in-crowd". Because of this fear of not being accepted, we reject God.

What kind of backward thinking creatures are we? We said tha…

The Ten Commandments Series- 2nd Commandment

Exodus 20:4
You shall not make for yourself a carved image-any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

This commandment is a branch off the first commandment about not having any other Gods. During this time in the Bible, and in many countries still today, people worshiped anything and everything. God was instructing His people not to be like the other people in other nations that worshiped lifeless idols that could not do anything for them. The irony in this is the fact that when Moses came down off of Mount Sinai, he found his fellow Israelites doing this very thing. They had constructed a golden calf for the people to pay homage to. It made Moses furious when he saw this; to the point that he threw down the stone tablets that the 10 commandments were engraved on and broke them into pieces.

I find this commandment to convict me of what we are guilty of doing in today's age. We make statues of …

A Prayer for Pastors

Please strengthen and encourage our pastors, the handlers and messengers of Your word. Anoint them with the power and ability to deliver Your word in truth. Lord, hide them behind the cross and let Jesus speak and shine through them. Fill them with Your Spirit to such a degree that they impart wisdom to and build up believers while simultaneously stirring up the Spirit to draw unbelievers to You. Let them do all things that bring You honor and glory and that advance Your kingdom on earth. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

International Prayer

We join our faith across the globe in unison, as one voice, one faith, and one prayer. We turn our back on our sin and our wicked ways. We seek your face and ask your forgiveness. Lord Jesus let your global church arise and bring you glory. Build us up as we lift up your name. Let a revival of Jesus sweep the globe and bring you back to the forefront of our lives and our civilizations. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.

Please share and pray this prayer across the globe.

The Ten Commandments Series- 1st Commandment

Exodus 20:3
You shall have no other gods before me.

God demands exclusive loyalty to him and him only. Deuteronomy 6:14 says, "Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you." He will not tolerate the worship of any other gods. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and stands alone as God of all, in all, and through all. Because of his sovereignty, he cannot accept mankind's worship of another god. This means that monotheism, the worship of the one true God, is the only acceptable belief and practice. God is jealous and will not play second best behind anyone or anything. Exodus 34:14 says, "Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." How can God be this demanding one might ask? Because he is Creator of all things, we are his creation and he has dominion over us, all the earth, below the earth, and of the heavens above.

God demands our worship to be directed to him only. Not because he need…
